Elk Burger
Ingredients
- 2 Pounds Ground Elk (or Venison if Unavailable)
- ½ Pound Bacon Lardons
- 1 Egg
- 1 Tablespoon Breadcrumbs
- 1 Tablespoon Minced Garlic
- 1 Teaspoon Steak Sauce
- ½ Teaspoon White Pepper
- ½ Teaspoon Freshly Ground Black Pepper
- 1 Teaspoon Ground Sea Salt
- ¼ Stick Grated Butter
Method
- In a large bowl, add the bacon lardons to the ground elk meat. The bacon fat needs to be evenly distributed throughout the meat.
- Add the steak sauce, pepper, salt, breadcrumbs, and the grated butter. Mix it up.
- Add in the egg and mix again.
- Divide mix in to 8 equal sized balls and press down gently to shape into patties.
- Grill for 7 minutes per side or until cooked through.
