Norwegian Waffles
Ingredients
- 100g Butter (Melted)
- 4 Eggs
- 4 Tablespoons Sugar
- ½ Teaspoon Ground Cardamom
- 1⅓ Cups Flour
- 1 Teaspoon Baking Powder
- 1 Cup Sour Cream
- 1 Cup Milk
- 1 Pinch Salt
- 3 Drops Vanilla Extract
Method
- Melt the butter.
- Mix all the ingredients until smooth and let sit for 15 minutes or more. The batter should have the consistency of thick gravy.
- For the filling: Mix 60g butter, 60g caster sugar and the cinnamon in a bowl until smooth.
- Heat waffle iron until hot and bake each waffle until hot and crispy, but not too brown.
- Eat right away as is or add some fresh berries or lingonberry jam.
